Gertrude Hawk Chocolates teams with Kronos for HR system

3/30/2010

Chelmsford, Mass. Kronos said Tuesday that Gertrude Hawk Chocolates is using Kronos for time and attendance, human resources and payroll.

Gertrude Hawk Chocolates is a manufacturer and retailer of fine chocolates with 74 retail stores in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, and more than 1,700 employees in its retail stores and manufacturing plant.

According to Kronos, the chain was using manual systems for time tracking and human resources. With the new system in place, Gertrude Hawk now has access to all labor-related information in real time. As well, Gertrude Hawk’s IT department spends significantly less time supporting the Kronos system than it spent supporting legacy systems, enabling it to focus on other companywide IT initiatives.

The company said it expects to save $100,000 in the first five years with Kronos and then $100,000 each subsequent year.
