Gap Veteran Named President of Ann Taylor LOFT

New York City Gap Inc. and one of its last-remaining veteran executives have parted ways. AnnTaylor Stores Corp. Monday announced the appointment of Gary Muto, 49, to the position of president, Ann Taylor LOFT, effective Nov. 11.

Muto served at Gap Inc. for two decades in various leadership roles, most recently as president of Gap Adult and GapBody.

Prior to that, he held the positions of president of Banana Republic, president of Gap N.A., and president of Forth & Towne.

In his new position, Muto will lead all aspects of the LOFT division and report directly to Kay Krill, president and CEO of AnnTaylor Stores Corp.
