Gap adds China banker to board of directors
San Francisco Gap said Tuesday it has named international banker Katherine Tsang as a company director, expanding the retailer’s board of directors to 11 members.
Tsang, 53, is the chairwoman for Greater China at Standard Chartered PLC, and will join the board in August.
Earlier this year, Gap announced plans to open its first store in China.
"Katherine's successful track record leading and growing a multinational business in China's flourishing consumer market makes her a tremendous resource to our board as we embark on a new phase of international expansion," chairman and CEO Glenn Murphy said in a statement. "She will also bring a unique dimension to our board as one of the top women executives in China."
