Former RadioShack board member sentenced in child porn case

Kansas City, Mo. A Dallas millionaire who once sat on the board of RadioShack Corp. has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for attempting to possess Internet child pornography, according to a report Wednesday by the Associated Press.

Ronald E. Elmquist, age 63, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Kansas City.

U.S. District Judge Ortrie Smith also ordered that Elmquist must serve a year of home confinement after his release, perform at least 120 hours of community service each month for three years and pay a $150,000 fine.

Prosecutors estimated Elmquist's net worth at more than $13 million.
