FM Facility Maintenance Announces New President/CEO
Hartford, Conn. FM Facility Maintenance announces Jim Reavey as president/CEO of FM’s rapidly growing facility management business.
Reavey brings over a decade of experience in the operations and facility maintenance category, most recently with Johnson Controls, a leader in building efficiency and power solutions. In his prior role, Reavey was VP and general manager for Johnson Controls’ Retail/Multi-Site business, experience that lends itself well to FM’s service offering to over 30,000 retail sites. Leading up to his senior management position, Reavey had been VP, facility operations of the Americas. He was a key member of the team responsible for the acquisition and successful integration of York International, a provider of integrated products, systems and services in the buildings market. Also with Johnson Controls, he held positions including national account management, development of global service offerings, and enterprise programs to reduce cost and improve margins. Johnson Controls recorded revenue of over $34.5 billion in 2008.
At FM Facility Maintenance, Reavey will be responsible for growth oriented business strategy, continuous improvement of services and systems, and ‘change management’ to achieve sustainable growth. He will take an active role in refining and delivering FM’s ‘Facility Maintenance … made simple’ approach, along with implementing the company’s Guaranteed Savings model. He received his BSBA degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City.
Reavey joins as president and will transition to the CEO role later this year. Jim Barnes, FM’s current CEO, will retain the chairman position and remain active in acquisitions, strategic alliances, and renewable-energy opportunities including solar and wind applications.
