Family Dollar makes exec appointment

Matthews, N.C. Family Dollar Stores announced that it has named James C. Snyder Jr., to the position of senior VP -- general counsel and corporate secretary.

Prior to joining Family Dollar, Snyder served as VP and associate general counsel for legal and risk management with The Home Depot.
