EEOC Sues Nordstrom in Fla. Over Harassment
Seattle, The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a federal lawsuit against Nordstrom over harassment that the agency claims happened in two South Florida stores, according to the Puget Sound Journal.
The suit was filed on behalf of Gloria Pimental, who is Hispanic. It claims a manager at the Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens stores harassed Pimental and other Hispanic and African American employees, and that Nordstrom failed to take proper action to stop the harassment and prevent further harassment
The suit says that when employees complained, Nordstrom management retaliated with increased harassment, false accusations and termination.
