DTLR teams with JobApp for hiring solution
Troy, Mich. JobApp Network said Thursday that it has measured results from urban fashion retailer DTLR’s implementation of the JobApp solution in all of its stores nationally over a four-week period in October 2008.
DTLR is the flagship retail concept of Levtran Enterprises, a high-growth, private equity-owned retailer based in Baltimore.
In implementing the JobApp solution, DTLR had hard and measurable business objectives in mind: reducing sales associate turnover and reducing turnover-related costs, especially new employee recruiting and training costs.
In the first eight months of utilizing JobApp, DTLR’s human resources, operations and finance teams were able to confirm hard dollar savings representing an annualized ROI of over 400%. Over the same time period, sales associate turnover was reduced by 41%. By utilizing a control group of new hires to factor out general labor market developments over the same period, DTLR determined that approximately half of the 41% reduction in employee turnover was directly attributable to JobApp.
“We are extremely excited about the results with JobApp after less than one year and we are looking forward to a strong partnership to ensure that we are always able to staff our stores efficiently with high-quality individuals who can better represent our products, our brand and our service standard,” stated Michelle Holmes, director of human resources at DTLR.
