DSW appoints new CEO

Columbus, Ohio DSW on Wednesday said Michael MacDonald has been appointed as the company's president and CEO.

MacDonald takes over the role from Jay Schottenstein, who served as both chairman and CEO of DSW. Schottenstein will retain the role of chairman.

MacDonald worked most recently as the CEO of Shopko Stores and has more than 30 years in the retail industry, including executive leadership roles at Saks, Marshall Fields and other companies.
