DSGE names COO as chairman, president and CEO

Dallas - DGSE Companies Inc. has named James D. “Dusty” Clem to the positions of chairman, president and CEO, effective immediately. Clem replaces James Vierling, who has resigned as CEO and as a director of DGSE to accept a position with Elemetal LLC, DGSE’s largest shareholder.



In addition, Brett Burford, who has served as DGSE’s CFO since August 2012, was named to DGSE’s board of directors, effective immediately, replacing Vierling on the DGSE board. Clem became COO in December 2012. Previously, he served as DGSE’s VP of sales and marketing from 2008 to 2012. Prior to 2008, Clem was with the Heritage Organization LLC, an estate planning firm, for seven years.
