Dick's Sporting Goods Names New President

Imperial, Pa. Dick's Sporting Goods will have a new president and COO when the company begins its new fiscal year on February 1, 2009. Joseph Schmidt has been the company's executive VP COO since February. Schmidt will take on the title of president.

Edward Stack will continue as CEO and chairman of the company, but will drop the president's title.
