Deckers names Outerwall chair to board

Goleta, Calif. - Deckers Brands has appointed Nelson Chan, chairman of the board of directors of Redbox and Coinstar parent company Outerwall, to the company's board of directors. Maureen Conners will step down from the Deckers board at year-end to pursue other activities.



Chan is also lead independent director of Synaptics, a developer of electronic interface technology, and serves as a member of the board of directors of genetic analysis company Affymetrix. Chan is also chairman of the board of directors of several select privately-held companies.



Chan previously served as CEO of GPS technology manufacturer Magellan, from 2006 to 2008.
