David’s Bridal consolidates operations to improve speed to market

4/23/2019
Changes are afoot at David’s Bridal.

The bridal and special occasion dress retailer announced the consolidation of its design and product development operations in an effort to provide faster product delivery. David's Bridal will house all design functions within Fillberg LTD, its joint-venture partner in China.

The switch is one the first moves announced by David’s Bridal new leadership team, which includes CEO Tom Lynch and CFO Curt Kroll. They were appointed to their positions in March, in a shakeup of the company’s C-suite shortly after its emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

"We are thrilled to build upon the success of our long-standing relationship with Fillberg," said Tom Lynch, CEO of David's Bridal. "Our collective goal is to continually improve upon the product, resources, and customer service David's Bridal is providing to every person who comes into contact with our brand."

David’s Bridal said the Hong Kong-based team will focus on improved speed to market, contemporary product designs, and competitive pricing. (The design team for the exclusive White by Vera Wang brand owned by David's Bridal will remain in Manhattan to ensure proximity to the designer and uninterrupted operations.)

David's Bridal operates more than 300 stores located across the U.S., Canada, U.K., and franchise locations in Mexico.
