CVS names diversity officer

Woonsocket, R.I. CVS Caremark said Tuesday it has appointed David Casey as VP and diversity officer.

In this new role, Casey will lead the company's efforts related to strategic diversity management.

"CVS Caremark has a longstanding commitment to diversity," said Lisa Bisaccia, senior VP and chief HR officer. "To that end, we're delighted that David Casey has joined CVS Caremark to develop and drive best practice diversity strategies designed to help the company ensure that we have a workforce reflective of the communities we serve and a culture of inclusion that enables us to meet and exceed the needs of our increasingly diverse customers."
