Costco announces executive management changes

Issaquah, Wash. Costco Wholesale Corp. announced the appointment of Craig Jelinek as president and COO, effective immediately.

Jelinek previously was executive VP in charge of merchandising, a position he has held since 2004. He will join the chain’s board of directors.

Jim Sinegal will continue as CEO of Costco. Sinegal, together with chairman of the board Jeff Brotman, senior executive VP Dick DiCerchio and Jelinek, will form an Office of the President, through which the four will coordinate on major company matters.
