Coldwater Creek appoints new CFO

Sandpoint, Idaho Coldwater creek has promoted James A. Bell to become the company's senior VP and CIO.

Bell joined the specialty women's retailer in June 2009, working most recently as its VP financial planning.

He takes over the CFO position from John E. Hayes III, who has been serving as interim CFO since Nov. 2009.

Hayes will continue as senior VP, general counsel and secretary while he has also taken on the responsibility of directing Coldwater Creek's human-resources department.
