Christopher & Banks Names New Board Member

Minneapolis Christopher & Banks Corp. said that Martin Bassett has been named to the board of directors, effective May 20.

The election of Bassett increases the total number of board seats to eight and the number of independent directors to seven, the company said.

Bassett is currently the president and chief executive of Walman Optical Co.

Bassett will also be a nominee for election at the company's next annual meeting on July 30, the company said.
