The Children's Place announces election of directors

The Children's Place Retail Stores announced the results of its 2009 Annual Meeting of Stockholders held on Friday.

The stockholders approved the election of directors Sally Frame Kasaks, Norman Matthews and Malcolm Elvey to serve for three-year terms expiring in 2012.

The election comes on the heels of former chief Ezra Dabah’s July 30th abandonment of his proxy fight to place three dissident directors on the board.

Stockholders also approved the ratification of the appointment of BDO Seidman, LLP as the company’s independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending Jan. 30, 2010.
