Charming Shoppes Names New Chairman

Bensalem, Pa. Charming Shoppes Inc. on Thursday named Alan Rosskamm non-executive chairman.

At the company’s annual meeting of shareholders on Thursday, the board of directors voted to separate the duties of chairman of the board and CEO.

Rosskamm has been on the board since 1992 and is the company’s longest standing board member.

Dorrit J. Bern remains president and CEO.
