12/22/2015

Off-price retailer Burlington Stores named the former president and COO of Bright Horizons Family Solutions as the newest member of its nine-person board.

Mary Ann Tocio, former president and COO at Bright Horizons, joins the Burlington board following a 23 year career at the child care company. She retired in July 2015.

“Her strong leadership and operational experience will be very valuable to our company,” Burlington president, CEO and chairman Tom Kingsbury said regarding Tocio. “We will look to leverage Mary Ann’s skills and business acumen in our ongoing efforts to capitalize on our enhanced off-price operating model. I look forward to Mary Ann’s counsel and know she will make significant contributions to our board.”

Prior to Bright Horizons, where she continues to serve on the board, Tocio served in several positions with Wellesley Medical Management. She also serves on the boards of Civitas Solutions, CareWell Urgent Care and is chairman of the board of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. She previously served as a director of Mac-Gray Corporation, Telecare Corporation, and Zany Brainy. She received an MBA from Simmons College School of Management.
