Borders names board member

Ann Arbor, Mich. Borders Group Inc. said Friday it has elected David Shelton to its board of directors.

Shelton, 62, retired in 2006 from Lowe's Companies Inc., as SVP real estate, engineering and construction, a role he held since 1997.
