Bonobos founder shifts to chairman, hires Coach exec as CEO

5/11/2015

New York -- Andy Dunn, the founder of the hot online menswear retailer Bonobos, is transitioning from CEO to executive chairman. Dunn, who founded the company in 2007, has named retail veteran Francine Della Badia to serve as CEO starting June 1.

Della Badia most recently served as president of North American retail at Coach, leaving in February. She also held positions with Victoria’s Secret, J.Crew and Gap Inc.

"For the past eight years, I've been serving dual roles as CEO and chairman,” Dunn said in a statement. “As the company scales rapidly, it became increasingly clear that these jobs need dedicated attention. By being focused on chairman and hiring a great CEO with complementary experience, we can lead this remarkable team into the next era.”

The move comes as Bonobos continues to expand its physical store presence through its Guideshops showroom format. The company expects to have 20 Guideshops open by year end.

Bonobos also sells merchandise at Nordstrom and select Belk stores.
