Bon-Ton amends CEO’s contract

York, Pa. The Bon-Ton Stores said Thursday that its board voted unanimously to ask Byron L. (Bud) Bergren to continue in his role as president and CEO.

Bergren’s contract was amended to stipulate he would continue to serve as president and CEO through Jan. 31, 2011, and would serve in an important role to be determined by the board of directors from Feb.1, 2011 through Feb. 5, 2012.
