Best Buy names CIO

Minneapolis Best Buy Co. has appointed Neville Roberts to serve as its new CIO. The company also announced on Tuesday changes to its international operations leadership.

Roberts replaces Robert Willett, who will continue to serve as CEO of Best Buy International.

Meanwhile, Scott Wheway was named COO of Best Buy International. Most recently, he served as managing director of U.K.-based health and beauty chain Boots the Chemist, a subsidiary of Alliance Boots PLC.

Additionally, Sean Skelley was named to the new position of president of international retail operations. Among his responsibilities in that role, Skelley will lead Best Buy's operations in Canada, China, Mexico and Turkey.

Previously, Skelley served as senior VP and leader of Best Buy's services business group.
