Best Buy appoints new board member

Minneapolis Best Buy Co. has appointed Lisa Caputo to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Caputo, who currently serves as executive VP global marketing and corporate affairs for Citigroup and chairman and CEO of Citi’s Women & Co., was appointed as a Class 1 director with a term expiring in June 2010.

Before joining Citi in 2005, Caputo held senior executive communications positions with The Walt Disney Co. and The CBS Corp.
