Apple retail VP to leave
New York -- Jerry McDougal, retail VP for Apple Inc., will be leaving the company, according to a Wednesday report by Bloomberg.
He will be replaced by Jim Bean, a VP in Apple’s finance division.
Company spokesman Steve Dowling told Bloomberg that Bean will be an apt replacement for McDougal, who served under former CEO Ron Johnson for many years.
“Retail has an incredibly strong network of leaders at the store and regional level,” Dowling said. “Jim has been at Apple for 15 years and is a great leader who understands our culture and focus on customer service.”
Dowling said that Apple CEO Tim Cook will conduct a search for a new SVP over retail operations for the company.
