A&P makes senior HR appointment

Montvale, N.J. Another former OfficeMax executive has made a shift over to A&P, as The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. said Thursday that Carter Knox will assume the role of senior VP human resources & communications.

Prior to joining A&P, Knox was the senior VP human resources for OfficeMax. In his new role at A&P, he will be leading the human resources, field and corporate, labor relations, as well as the company’s public relations & communications departments.

Over the last two weeks, OfficeMax COO Sam Martin took the helm of A&P as its chief executive, followed by Paul Hertz who left OfficeMax as executive VP retail stores to become A&P’s executive VP operations.
