A&P makes executive appointment

Montvale, N.J. The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. announced the appointment of Tom O’Boyle to the new position of executive VP, effective immediately.

O’Boyle will be responsible for leading the merchandising, marketing, supply & logistics departments to develop a cohesive synergy between these critical functions, reporting to president and Chief CEO Sam Martin. Prior to joining the A&P, he was president and senior VP, food and drug for Sears.
