Amazon Hires Ad Exec

Seattle Amazon.com has appointed a senior Microsoft Corp. executive to head its U.S. advertising sales as the company plans to ramp up its online ad business, according to the New York Post. Amazon has not yet publicly announced the hiring, the report said.

Lisa Utzschneider, who worked at Microsoft for 10 years, will become senior VP of national ad sales for Amazon.
