Ahold Names John Rishton New CEO

Amsterdam, Netherlands, Royal Ahold NV on Friday named John Rishton as its new CEO. Rishton, reviously the company’s CFO, had served as interim CEO since Anders Moberg resigned in July.

The company is due to report third-quarter earnings Nov. 21, but in October said third-quarter sales were up 1.1% to $9 billion.

Separately, the company announced that deputy CFO Kimberly Ross would take the CFO job Rishton vacated.
