Advance Auto Names New Execs

Roanoke, Va. Advance Auto Parts named Jim Wade as president. Wade, who previously served as the company’s executive VP, will be responsible for the chain’s customer-focused and sales functions, and will execute the company’s commercial expansion and DIY strategies.

Kevin Freeland has been appointed COO. He previously served as the company’s executive VP, merchandising, supply chain and information technology.

In his new role, Freeland will manage the company’s operations, including merchandising, inventory management, supply chain, store operational support, e-commerce, and information technology. He will also lead the company’s Availability Excellence and Superior Experience strategies.

Both executives will report to Darren Jackson, the company’s CEO, as well as Mike Norona, executive VP and CFO, and Keith Oreson, senior VP, human resources.
