Nordstrom Rack's new Vegas location is near the top master-planned community of Summerlin.

Nordstrom Rack has found a new home adjacent to the fast-growing Summerlin market west of Las Vegas near Red Rock Canyon.

Expected to open in spring 2023, the 31,000-sq.-ft. location will be joining Men’s Wearhouse, Burlington, T.J. Maxx, Old Navy, and Best buy at the 427,000-sq.-ft. Best in the West center. It will be just the second location for Nordstrom Rack in Las Vegas and its fourth in Nevada.

“Our customers in Las Vegas can take full advantage of this convenient new location to pick up online orders and make returns,” said Nordstrom Rack senior VP Carl Jenkins.

Summerlin, which was named Master-Planned Community of the Year by the National Association of Homebuilders in 2020, was a barren piece of desert when Howard Hughes began buying land in the area in the 1950s and remained undeveloped for three decades. It was named for Hughes’s paternal grandmother Jean Amelia Summerlin.

Since, it has become a community of 120,000 and draws traffic from throughout the Las Vegas Metro to its retail-packed downtown and its City National Arena—the practice facility of the Vegas Golden Knights hockey team.

Currently under construction in Summerlin is Las Vegas Ballpark, future home of the Las Vegas Aviators baseball Triple-A baseball team, which plays in the Pacific Coast League.

Nordstrom Rack currently operates 352 stores in 41 states and three Canadian provinces.
