Marco's Pizza continues to expand

Marco's Pizza
Earlier this year, Marco’s reached an expansion milestone by opening its 1,200th location.

Ohio-based pizza chain Marco’s Pizza is planning to grow its presence in Idaho.

The company will open four locations in the greater Boise area, with the first two locations slated to open in Caldwell and Kuna in June. Shortly after the two openings, a third location will open in Meridian by the end of summer. Site selection is currently underway for the fourth location.

The four new stores will join one existing location in Idaho. The chain says it envisions up to 12 locations in the state. Marco’s is on pace for continued growth, with more than 100 stores in various stages of development and more than 170 franchising agreements signed.

Earlier this year, Marco’s reached an expansion milestone by opening its 1,200th location.

Marco's says its 2024 development strategy will focus on multi-unit growth as leadership prioritizes franchisee relations and operational support with nearly half of its current franchise network being made up of multi-unit operators. Other key growth areas of opportunity lie in capitalizing on franchise growth in the nontraditional sector alongside international expansion.

"We are always intentional with each development decision," said Gerardo Flores, chief development officer of Marco's Franchising, LLC. "In conducting a thorough market analysis, we've identified Boise to be a fast-growing city with strong demographics and an impressive labor market. We believe the corporate stores will find success in a market we have determined is primed for growth, especially when those stores will be combined with Marco's commitment to the highest quality products and forward-thinking innovations."

Marco’s is on pace for continued growth, with more than 100 stores in various stages of development and more than 170 franchising agreements signed.

Marco’s operates 1,200 stores in 34 states with locations in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
