During the holiday season, Galleria Dallas’s 95-foot-tall Christmas tree and skating rink draw tens of thousands of visitors from more than 700 Zip Codes in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. This week its operator, Trademark Property Group, announced several new upgrades designed to keep guests coming year-round.

Five new restaurants and retailers have signed leases at the mall, led by H&M Home, which will occupy 7,500 sq. ft. on its second level near its existing H&M store and Nordstrom. The brand’s home goods concept specializes in furnishings and décor, rugs, and bedding, as well as bathroom and kitchen goods.

North Italia--a fast-expanding provider of classic cocktails, pizza, and pasta made from scratch—will open this fall across from The Blue Fish in the mall’s restaurant row.

Also joining the tenant list are clothier Cotopaxi, women’s wear retailer Intissimi, and Salut Paris Bakery.

Five other present tenants will be moving to new locations.

Louis Vuitton has signed a long-term lease for an enlarged space where it will put an entirely new store. In the interim, Vuitton will move to a temporary location on Galleria’s first level next to Sephora.

Bachendorf’s Jewelers, too, will assume a temporary space on Level 1 while a larger store is prepared for its permanent location. The new store, which includes an individual Rolex room, is scheduled to open in October.

Nordstrom Marketplace Café—known for cocktails and quick casual meals--has moved to a new location on Level 2.

Several mall-wide renovations have been completed or are underway at Galleria. New carpeting has been installed center-wide. The corridor leading toward the skating rink from the Westin Galleria Dallas is being straightened and widened and will feature new lighting and furnishings, all in an elevated setting.

New plans for theplaza known as “The Alley,” the future home of North Italia, are underway. They will include green space and upgraded furnishings.
