Zumiez swings to profit in Q2

Everett, Wash. Zumiez reported late Thursday said that it swung to a slight profit in the second quarter, generating net income of $114,000, compared with a loss of $3.1 million last year.

Revenue rose 15% to $97.7 million, from $85.2 million a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $97.5 million.

Same-store sales for the retailer of clothing and equipment for snowboarding and skateboarding rose 9.3% in the quarter.
