Zara takes space at Cherry Hill Mall

11/1/2016

Zara, the trendy global fashion retailer, will soon assume a place between Macy’s and Nordstrom at the Cherry Hill Mall in suburban Philadelphia.

PREIT, the mall’s owner, reported that Zara has leased a 26,000-sq.-ft. store at the 1.3 million-sq.-ft. mall in Cherry Hill, NJ, which recently underwent a $220 million redevelopment. The landing of Zara is another win for PREIT in its efforts to introduce more “in-demand” retailers to its properties. The ecologically conscious jeweler Alex & Ani was another such recent addition at Cherry Hill.

“Our ability to add top-quality retailers to our portfolio improves which will continue to drive traffic and sales and create value in our portfolio,” said PREIT CEO Joseph F. Coradino.

Both Zara and Alex & Ani are making their first appearances in a PREIT mall. Other first-to-portfolio tenants that opened this year were Primark at Willow Grove Park and Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th at Springfield Town Center.
