Zales lays off 60 corporate employees

New York City Zale laid off 60 employees were laid off at its Irving, Texas, headquarters on Friday, the Dallas Business Journal said.

The cuts leave Zale with about 800 corporate employees at headquarters, according to the report.

In a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Zale also elaborated on the company’s separation agreement with former CEO Neal Goldberg, who was let go earlier last month. Goldberg will receive $500,000 in severance pay, and all of his vested stock options will be exercisable for a period of 90 days, the report said.
