Zale delays fourth-quarter report pending accounting review

Dallas Zale Corp. said late Tuesday it is delaying its fourth-quarter report to complete a review of accounting for prepaid advertising costs that surfaced during its year-end closing process.

The company had previously delayed the report by a week, to Wednesday, to account for some adjustments to prior-year periods.

Zale said it would announce the date of its earnings call and provide additional details once the review is complete.
