Windsor uses cloud to optimize operations, support expansion

9/21/2016

Omnichannel success depends on the ability to scale operations to keep up with consumer demand.

Women’s apparel retailer Windsor is keeping pace with a cloud-based platform that integrates omnichannel business solutions to create a seamless shopping experience. Specifically, the chain is leveraging enterprise order management to manage all orders throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to fulfillment and back. A warehouse management system will automate manual processes, a move that will improve fulfillment accuracy and reduce inventory carrying costs, and deliver operational efficiencies.

Meanwhile, sales analytics will deliver insights needed to needed to make faster, better informed business decisions required to fuel the company’s growth and innovation plans.

“By leveraging the cloud, we’ve been able to gain improved scalability, reduced risk, improved speed-to-value, and the ability to free up information technology resources to focus on business growth and innovation,” said Leon Zekaria, president, Windsor.

The platform will also support Windsor’s expansion plans, which will get underway as early as next year.

“We plan to add an additional 20-plus stores, and expect double-digit year-over-year growth in our e-commerce business,” he added. “[The platform] will help us manage this growth by providing a differentiated and seamless shopping and service experience for our customers.”
