Whole Foods boosts NYC presence
NEW YORK Whole Foods continues to grow in the New York metropolitan area. Tomorrow, the company will open its newest store in the Tribeca section of downtown Manhattan.
The Tribeca unit will join four other Whole Foods stores located in Manhattan, three of which are located from 14th Street south. Additionally, the company has signed a lease for the Lake Grove Commons shopping center, in Long Island’s Lake Grove community, according to the Blumenfeld Development Group. The 140,000 square foot shopping center is located adjacent to the Smith Haven Mall. Whole Foods will occupy 48,000 square feet of space in Lake Grove Commons. Construction on the Whole Foods outlet begins in the fall, Blumenfeld stated.
