SALT LAKE CITY The Utah Technology Council has announced that Meg Whitman, president and ceo of eBay, will be the keynote speaker for the UTC Annual Members’ Meeting on March 28.

According to the council's press release, Whitman will share business strategy insights with Utah business and community leaders.

"Meg Whitman is truly one of the most dynamic and compelling technology executives in the technology industry, said Richard Nelson, president of UTC and of the national Council of Regional Information Technology Associations. We look forward to hearing Megs incredible insights into our future from her unique view at the helm of one of the largest and most successful technology firms in the world."

Meg Whitman joined eBay as president and ceo in March 1998 when the company was still a small auction website with 30 employees and revenue of $4 million. Since that time, she has been instrumental in helping this Internet pioneer evolve into an unparalleled global e-commerce engine that continues to influence and reshape the way people trade, pay and communicate throughout the world.
