Good ol’ bottled water is getting the equivalent of a slapstick comedy spit shot these days, with critics claiming it isn’t all its supposed to be.
Yet, beverage producers are fighting back. Even Anheuser-Busch, which knows its way around a sensitive issue or two, is stepping into the ring with Borba, a supplemented water meant to support skin health.
Metromint (pictured) has just introduced Chocolatemint, a taste that mixes cocoa and real mint oil in a product that has no sweeteners, preservatives or calories. Chocolatemint provides a flavor satisfaction that makes it an effective alternative to soft drinks, a point water producers continue to emphasize when confronting water critics.
Also, it provides the digestive qualities of mint and, from an introductory point of view, it will be available for Valentine’s Day so it can be positioned as a substitute for fattening candy, too.
