What’s Hot: Brights and Patterns

Bright and patterned clothing is definitely in style for little girls this summer, as apparel and accessories items on the racks of retailers across the board are picking up on this pattern. In the mass sector, for example, Wal-Mart is selling a bright magenta smock dress from its Faded Glory brand for $10.87, while a YES voile tank top at Target features a bright blue, green and white tie dye pattern.

Apparel items with patterns are also hot items for little girls too, with plaid, florals and madras being most important. JCPenney offers a Carter’s smocked plaid tank in stores for $16, while Kohl’s offers Chaps’ madras capris in orange and pink.

In the specialty sector, floral print items are all the rage. Gap Kids sells a floral bloused tank top for $24.50 (pictured) and The Children’s Place sells a hot pink and white floral print crochet top for $12.50.
