What’s the connection between Donald Trump and American Apparel?

Politics can make for some strange bedfellows.



Donald Trump’s campaign is reportedly using American Apparel to manufacture some of its campaign apparel merchandise, according to Fortune.



American Apparel’s made-in-the-USA model is in line with Trump, who has promised to bring more manufacturing back to the United States. But the retailer has also been a staunch — and vocal — advocate of progressive causes, from gay rights to immigrants’ rights.
