Wegmans launches food testing center

ROCHESTER, N.Y. Wegmans Food Markets has launched its $36 million Culinary Innovation Center. According to reports the center will be used for testing new food products and for preparing materials for use in private label items or prepared foods.

The 53,000-sq.-ft. center is an addition to the supermarket's meat shipping and receiving facility. An older food preparation facility will be torn down, according to reports.
