Wegmans Food Markets Inc. Chairman Dies at 87

Rochester, Chairman of Wegmans Food Markets Inc. Robert B. Wegman died Thursday at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., at age 87. Wegman was known to donate a significant portion of the millions he made in the grocery business to schools and other institutions. In January 2005, Wegman handed his title as company CEO to his son Danny, and Danny’s daughter, Colleen Wegman, became company president.
