Trademark Property Company has unveiled plans to build Waterside in its home base of Fort Worth, Texas; the 63-acre, master-planned, mixed-use development is slated to open the first phase in spring 2015.
Located on the Trinity River at Bryant Irvin Road and Arborlawn Drive in central Fort Worth, Waterside will be a walkable shopping, leisure, office, hotel and residential district with an amenity package that includes an extension to an existing trail along with a trailhead with a bicycle repair and air station, and an internal trail system. Other features will include a signature bridge, canoeing and kayaking, a dog park, a central plaza with outdoor dining and recreation areas for children and adults, and a riverfront amphitheater. Plans for the development include 200,000 sq. ft. of retail space and riverside restaurants, 20-30 acres of multi-family and townhomes, 100,000 sq. ft. to 200,000 sq. ft. of office space, and a hotel site.
Construction is set to begin in spring 2014. “We at Trademark are so excited to have the opportunity to develop this beautiful piece of land with over a mile-and-a-half of river frontage and access to the Trinity Trails,” said Trademark chairman and CEO Terry Montesi. “This site has it all and we plan to be extraordinary stewards of this great piece of real estate, including the retention of many specimen trees."
Trademark is working closely with the City of Fort Worth and the Tarrant Regional Water District on the project.
