Walmart second to Amazon as America’s favorite online retailer
A survey of consumers conducted by the National Retail Federation and published in the trade group’s September issue of Stores placed Walmart second on a list of the nation’s favorite e-commerce retailers, an encouraging sign given the company’s efforts to drive digital growth.
The survey was conducted of 5,600 consumers by Prosper Insights & Analytics and it was the 7th year in a row that Amazon.com was the topped ranked merchant. Survey participants were asked to name their “most preferred online merchant,” and 58% selected Amazon.com followed by Walmart.com at 18%.
Kohls.com was ranked fourth, followed by Best Buy, Target, J.C. Penney, Macy’s, Sears and Old Navy. Click here for the complete list.
