Walgreens reveals new med alert campaign

2/14/2008

OCEANSIDE, N.Y. Walgreens has unveiled a new campaign for its Walgreens Ready Response Medical Alert program. The campaign, which launched in partnership with American Medical Alert Corp., a provider of healthcare communication services and advanced home health monitoring technologies, will include a new, product specific Web site, a media campaign and new, interactive store signage that will be tested at select stores.

According to the companies, the new Web site, www.walgreensreadyresponse.com, has a more user-friendly layout as well as an updated look and expanded product description.

Brand building for the Ready Response program will include television advertising and Internet marketing. In addition, Walgreens will introduce interactive store signage in certain test markets to determine its effectiveness.

Jack Rhian, AMACs ceo and president commented, We are encouraged with the progress we have achieved as we continue to collaborate with Walgreens management on this project. Ready Response is quickly becoming a nationally recognized brand as evidenced by recent inclusion in AARP Magazine March/April 2008 issue which cited Ready Response as a means of keeping seniors safe and independent at home. Our goal is to bring greater recognition of this service offering under the trusted Walgreens brand.
