Walgreens-OptionCare, MedNow in joint venture

DEERFIELD, Ill. Walgreen subsidiary, Walgreens-OptionCare, a nationwide provider of home care services, has entered into a joint venture with MedNow, a Nampa, Idaho-based home infusion, respiratory and medical equipment services company and affiliate of Catholic Health Initiatives. The joint venture will operate under the name MedNow, A Walgreens Affiliate.

“MedNow’s commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction matches our own, and their services and focus on the patient make them a good fit with us,” said Paul Mastrapa, president of Walgreens-OptionCare. “MedNow also expands our presence in the Northwest home care marketplace.”
